Sin taxes!

When I first heard about the idea of a sin tax on sodas, I thought it was a great idea.  But where would it end? After reading the Washington Post's article 5 Myth's about Soda Tax (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/25/AR2009092502015.html) I began to see the problem.  And just who decides what is healthy or not? Clearly the food companies would have a fit, and would further confuse the already confusing notion that "all natural" means healthy.

And will a tax really change behavior? NO...look at the cost of cigarettes which have increased a gazillion percent over 10 years. This is not what causes people to quit.

Get to the root of the issue of behavior change: save money by NOT losing work days, feel better,  live with less dependancy on our hyped up medical/sick care! Go ahead, drink that soda...but just remember, that is rips calcium from your body, decays your teeth, adds uncessacary calories, and dehydrates you (aka: ages you!).  Oh, sugar free is WORSE for you. Just stop drinking it...no matter what the price is!
